A festive dish for enjoying and sharing Lunar New Year snacks.
We are thrilled to welcome for a second year a special Lunar New Year Collection from Vietnamese American ceramic artist, Minh Singer. The collection is created with new year customs in mind—small dishes for treats, pedestals for decorative display and offerings of symbolic fruits, incense burned for ancestral offerings, and a very special series of vessels that represent each of the animals from the Chinese/Vietnamese zodiac.
Symbolic colors of red, yellow, orange and gold figure prominently in many of these pieces; they are representations of happiness, prosperity, and good fortune.
Minh’s work invokes notions of mystical souvenirs from a far off memory. Each piece is personal and created with the imperfections of beauty and humanity in mind.
